Assistant Professor İbrahim Helalşah graduated from the University of Jordan. He completed his master’s degree in the history of sects and his PHd in Islamic law at Marmara University. He served as a simultaneous interpreter at over 100 international conferences and meetings. He worked as a consecutive interpreter in English-Arabic-Turkish for international organizations such as the United Nations UNHCR department, IOM, PHR, and ICMC. He provided simultaneous interpretation for more than 1,800 TV programs on TRT Arabic, Al Jazeera, Haber Türk, NTV, and other channels and media outlets. Between 2011 and 2016, he presented the “One Friday One Mosque” program, the “Unknown Ottoman” program, as well as iftar and sahur programs broadcast on TRT Arabic channel. Having completed his memorization of the Quran in 2004, Helalşah coordinated many projects such as AHT, ATAP, and AKTAK, organized by 29 Mayıs ARÖMER, aimed at improving the quality of Arabic education across Turkey. Currently, Assistant Professor İbrahim Helalşah serves as the director of the School of Foreign Languages and the director of the 29 Mayıs Arabic Teaching Application and Research Center at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University.
